Safety officer training

The German Social Security Code VII (§ 22 SGB VII) stipulates that safety officers must be appointed in companies with more than 20 employees on a regular basis. Safety officers are specially trained to recognize dangers in the company environment and thus contribute to the prevention of accidents. With their special local, technical and specialist knowledge, they immediately recognize whether the prescribed protective devices and protective equipment are present and complete. Through their role, they serve as a role model for other employees and ensure that safety guidelines are adhered to and protective measures are followed through collegial behavior. The role of the safety officer requires knowledge of occupational health and safety, which should be refreshed through regular training.
