A map from 1834 already shows a “Bierkeller an der Linde”. Some of the cellars beneath the monastery brewery may therefore have been older than the buildings above. The older areas were arched. Due to the lack of space, the tanks were installed upright and suspended. The storage capacity was expanded for the last time in 1958. Around 140,000 liters of beer could be stored in the deep cellars of the monastery brewery. In the 1960s, 500,000 to 600,000 liters were brewed per year. Most recently it was only 120,000 liters of beer per year.
